Understanding the M'Cheyenne's Calendar

Before you get started reading this year I wanted you to know how the calendar is arranged. As you know it has four columns of reading. If you read all four columns you will have read through the whole Old Testament one time, the New Testament two times, and the Psalms two times. The fourth column actually adds the second reading of the New Testament and the Psalms. I was told that M'Cheyenne added that column so that the reading would seem more balanced between the Old and New Testament. That might be helpful for some. If, however, you are pressed for time, you could still accomplish your goal by reading just the first three columns. You would cover the whole Bible! I hope you are looking forward to the adventure, and I am most prayerful that God will use your diligent effort to draw you closer to Him. May you know Christ and make Him known more fully in 2011!
